Migration from rural areas to urban areas is inevitable. In western countries, people moved away from farms and small towns to cities since the Industrial Revolution in search of employment, educational opportunities and higher standards of 1lying Developing countries should go along this trend rather than go against it for the following reasons:
Firstly, migration to cities can provide much needed labour and talent to the development of cities and the economy. In many countries it has led to faster economic growth and has lifted millions of people out of poverty. In this process, many countries have transformed from low-income countries to high-income countries
Secondly, migration from rural areas to urban areas leads to higher population density and shorter distances, which in turn results in higher efficiency. For this reason many big cities in the world like Tokyo, Shanghai, are doing well.
Of course, migration can result in big slums and social problems in cities. Some cities authorities wanted to stop people coming to cities, but in vain. People are attracted towards economic opportunities and would come to cities anyway. Governments should plan and build infrastructure to encourage this process.

An inhabitable city is a place with good air quality, less noise, good public transport network, affordable houses, and low crime rates. To make a city inhabitable, the government should:
