As is seen vividly from the picture, a young girl is riding a bike, and lots of her family members are protecting her, holding the handlebar for her in ease of any accident. The poor girl has to follow her family members, heading to the direction chosen for her.
It's a quite common phenomenon that parents are always making decisions for their children because they care too much about them. However, from my point of view, I don't favor such over protection of their children for my following reasons.
First of all, too much protection from parents will nurture a self-centered personality of children. If children are spoiled, they will do things at their own will, ignoring feelings of others. Besides, if parents always make decisions for their children, the children will never learn to become independent, nor will they tackle any problem in life. If they meet any tough problem, they will habitually turn to their parents for help, which will cause them to be eliminated from the fierce competition both on campus and in society. Finally, over-protection will prevent children from developing their sense of responsibility because their parents will solve any problem for them and they do not have to worry about any consequences brought by their behaviors, thus imposing a negative effect on their life.
Actually, parents ought to give children more chances to decide, to try to succeed and even to face the failure on their own. Indeed, it's parents' duty to love their children. But it is also their responsibility to cultivate good personalities of their children to be a part of the society, not merely a part of the family.
