【正确答案】Responsibility
We all know what harms addiction to computer games may do us, yet even some university students are unable to resist the temptation of playing on the computer for hours on end, sometimes forgetting their friends, family, even their meals, let alone their studies or their own health. To many, they are a group of irresponsible youngsters whose only concern is related to virtual reality. They do not care what is happening in the real world.
Some may argue that since university students are grown-ups and should therefore bear the ill consequences if they choose to ignore their studies and health. But like drug addicts and addicted gambler, once they are hooked it takes much more than persuasion or threat to tear them away from the digital world. As their fellow students, we have the responsibility to help them to return to a healthy student life, instead of leaving the whole matter to their parents or the teachers. Besides setting them an example of self-discipline, we should try to involve them in more meaningful group activities, discussing school work and events of interest with them, and to constantly remind them of their responsibility to society, to their parents, and more importantly, to themselves. This kind of peer-to-peer support will work wonders where other measures fail.
To effectively prevent more young people from becoming the victim of excessive game playing, it requires the joint efforts of the whole society. Only with government regulations, technical support of IT technicians and conscience of business people can we expect the problem to be removed from our campus.
