During our daily life, for example when we are walking in the street, we can often meet somestrangers who need help. In the past, people would help those in need without hesitation. Butnowadays, we tend to be cautious when facing such situations. And some people would even refuse tooffer help for fear of being cheated or getting in trouble.
Should We Help Strangers?
Helping strangers has always been considered as a treasured virtue of human beings. In fact, weneed help from others throughout our life, whether we travel to other places or stay at home. Helping others can make us happy. We will feel great joy when we are trusted, needed and able to give a hand.
However, nowadays some people are cautious when it comes to helping strangers. They think that helping strangers involves risks of getting hurt or cheated. Lending a hand to a stranger often puts us ina weak position, because it means trusting someone we do not even know.
In my opinion, we should help strangers to the best of our ability. The media should report more positive news of helping others and the government should also introduce relevant laws and regulations to encourage more people to help strangers. Only in these ways can we live in a friendly and harmonious society.
