【正确答案】
【答案解析】I'd like to talk about my primary school. I went there a long time ago, but I still have fond memories of those years. The school was, and still is, only about ten minutes walk from my parents' home here in Shanghai. It was a relatively small school, with only a few hundred children there. I know that sounds like a big school, but in China even some primary schools have thousands of pupils. We learnt Chinese, maths, English, basic geography and Chinese history. We also had what I think Westerners call 'civics' classes. These were lessons on how to behave. Our teachers were very strict, so at school we behaved very well. However, once the last bell had rung, we usually found something more interesting and mischievous to do. The school is rather unusual in that the main building is a converted church. After 1949, many churches were closed down and some were totally destroyed. However, the authorities decided to convert this one into a school. I'm glad they did. Many school buildings are quite ugly, but this one grabs the attention of almost everyone who passes it.
