But as we can see, there seems to have arisen some problems such as parking bicycles at random, stealing or destroying bikes. After all, online bike-sharing platforms can never be separated from sustainable development.
In the face of how to achieve sustainable development, I think bike companies should adapt themselves to the market from the following aspects. To stand out from the fierce competition, bike-sharing enterprises need their own unique business secrets. For example, in America, bike-sharing company will sign exclusive agreements with some cities and university campuses to avoid excessive competition and get some protection. In addition, differentiated operation is also necessary, for example, a number of shared-bike enterprises launched higher-end and variable-speed vehicles in American and European cities, especially suitable for climbing in mountainous cities. This improvement has been proven successful. Chinese companies can learn this method to sustain a certain market share. There is also a familiar topic about enterprises in China. That is the core competitiveness. Frankly speaking, it‟s feasible for enterprises to invest more money in the development of scientific technology. Produced bikes should be in good quality, with longer life and are easy and safe for citizens to use. Only in this way, the prospect of the shared bikes shall be promised. Last but not least, the most severe problem companies exert great effort to tackle with is the protection of the users‟ private information because users have to register their information on the APP before using the bike. With the increasing events of giving away users‟ personal data around the globe, this threat shall be taken into account seriously. Seeking one‟s convenience really should be not at the cost of his information security.
To sum up, to sustain a benefiting thing for all of us cannot be apart from the joint effort made by the government, enterprises and every citizen. The government should strengthen legislative measures to protect the operation of shared bikes in the whole society, and protect citizens‟ rights according to law. The company should increase technological innovation to produce safer and more practical bikes. Citizens should strengthen their own moral consciousness and responsibility awareness to protect bicycles. Only in this way can the sustainable development of the bicycle company be realized.
