W: Mr. Stanley''s office, Judy Lee speaking.
M: Hello, this is John Wilson speaking. May I speak to Mr. Stanley, please?
W: I''m sorry, he is in a meeting right now. May I help you?
M: Yes, please. I have an appointment with Mr. Stanley at 3 o''clock this afternoon, but would you please cancel it for me, and change it to sometime next week?
W: All right, but what''s the matter, Mr. Wilson?
M: I have a terrible toothache today, so I have to go to the dentist this afternoon.
W: I see.
M: Can I see him on Monday morning next week?
W: I''m sorry, Mr. Stanley is having a meeting then, but he is free between 3 and 5.
M: No, I have to go to New York in the afternoon. I''ll be back on Wednesday afternoon.
W: I''m terribly sorry, but he''s got appointment all day on Wednesday.
M: How about Friday, then? Anytime would be fine with me on that day.
W: Well, let me see. His schedule is pretty full on Friday, but if you can come in at 11, he can see you then.
M: All right, I''ll come in at 11 on Friday.
W: Fine, we''ll see you then. Good-bye.
