But with where I stand, to love is also big happiness. Only love can bring us the greatest happiness as well as greatest sadness. Longing for love and being loved is an instinct of people, though not all of us know how to give love and to be loved. Some people hold that there should be a balance of love and being loved, which I partly agree on. Because if a person can only enjoy the feeling of being loved, but do not know how to love other people and devote even the slightest love to others, then he /she is absolutely a selfish person. However, to some degree, I do not agree on it. First of all, love cannot be weighed to see if my love equals to others', since you are not the one you love and you do not know how deep other's love is. Then, true love cannot be measured in this way. The truth is that if you really love someone, you will be afraid that what you give him/her is not enough instead of measuring if your love worth what you give. Last but not least, not all love is given out of selfishness. Most people who love you do not want a return love, such as the love of parents to their children, teachers to students, etc. They give you their love unselfishly but maybe you can never pay it off. So, in my opinion, just love somebody. Do not weigh other people's love in your mind. Because we know the person who truly loves us will love us more and forever.
