It"s been a long time since I wrote to yon last time in May. I"ve got a piece of big news to tell you—I have recently quitted my job in Nanjing and taken on some new responsibility as a journalist in Beijing. The routine life in the former position really sucked so I decided to try something new to refresh myself. Still, another crucial factor leading to my quick decision is that my parents moved to Beijing last month, where it is not as frustratingly sticky in summer as in Nanjing.
My new responsibility is to report local cultural news in English for the renowned China Daily, for which I am not required to work on a 9-to-5 routine, but rather on a more flexible basis. In other words, I often roam around the city to pick up some fresh stories instead of fixing my eyes on the screen in the office all day long. It is so fantastic!
