The chart is an example of a candlestick chart. A candlestick chart provides four prices per data point entry: the opening and closing pdces and the high and low prices dudng the period (i.e., during a week). In a candlestick chart, a vertical line represents the range through which the security price traveled during the time period. The line is known as the wick or shadow. The body of the candle is shaded if the opening price was higher than the closing price, and the body is clear if the opening price was lower than the closing price.
