Candidate B, I'll give you your picture in a minute.

Candidate A, I'd like you to describe the picture and tell us what you think about it. Remember you have only about one and a half minutes for this, so don't worry if I interrupt you, OK?

Interlocutor: Thank you. (Retrieve the picture.)
Candidate B, is there anything else you would like to say about the picture?
Candidate B: (Approximately 30 seconds.)
Interlocutor: Candidate B, here is your card: Sorry, I don't know the way. Please let Candidate A have a look at it.
(Hand over the picture to Candidate B.)(把图片递给考生B。)
Candidate A
A: In the picture a stout lady with flowery dress is trying a pair of new shoes. The shop assistant serves her with patience. She has tried on many times, because there're so many shoe boxes scatters all round her. At last the woman gives a big yawn, for she feels bored. But the shop assistant is still very patient and does as she is told to. Though the story is a little exaggerated in the picture, we know one fact that the services have been improved a lot these years. Several years ago, the customers often complained that they were spending money to buy rudeness and anger in department stores. The shop assistants often forgot that their job was to serve the customers, not to insult them. With the severe competition among the service industries, the quality of the services has been improved a lot. But I think they could do much better.
B: I agree with what Candidate A said. It must be pointed out that competition is a product of the development of society and it gives people a sense of the pursuit of excellence. In order to get the lion's share in the market, good services are necessary for the service industries.
Candidate B
B: From this picture we can see an old man is going to get on a "loaf-taxi", but the driver waves him away: Sorry, I don't know the way. He just refused to take him there. I think nowadays some taxi drivers' services are really very poor. They refuse to take you to a place where they think cheap or it's too out of the way. When they have to go through heavy traffic and the taxi will have to stop too many times, the driver won't take you there with any kinds of excuses. Sometimes taxi is very convenient. For example, if you are going to be late for an important appointment, you can take a taxi. But the fares are high and beyond ordinary people's means in daily life. Anyway they do come in handy sometimes, but what they need to do now is to improve their service level.
A: Yes, I agree with what Candidate B said. I think the taxi service is just so-so. Drivers should know that nowadays there are many means of transportation, such as bus and subway. They all have their own advantages: fast and cheap. So if taxi drivers don't pay attention to their services, they will lose a lot of passengers in the future and can't survive in the competition.
