Canada is the second largest country in the world, in terms of land mass. Though the country is so large, the population is very small. The whole population of Canada is less than the population of one province in China! Canada has a very diverse geography. There are rocky beaches, snowy mountains, and teeming lakes. These are all within a few hours drive from each other. The warmest areas of the nation are all along the southern border, where most of the population live. To the north of the country, the mountains and glaciers of the Rocky Mountains along with the cold weather make it almost uninhabited. However, in some regions of the mountains, there are some of the best skiing in the world. The largest cities in Canada are Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Besides these three cities, however, there are no more cities with more than 2 million people. This diversity in geography gives Canada a beautiful and unspoiled natural landscape.
