Money means wealth—social wealth as well as personal wealth. Making money is creating wealth. The more money you have, the wealthier you are. To increase wealth is what a person desires and what society needs. A person's desire can never be satisfied and social progress has no ending. Happiness is referred to as enjoyable experiences that people are feeling. To some extent, enjoyable experiences result from a person's mental satisfaction. People can never get satisfied with making money, so money is something distant from happiness. Although the man mentioned above is possessed of much money, he is suffering from the weight of gold. It is not exceptional that some millionaires are not happy at all in life. Indeed, money can buy wealth, but it cannot buy happiness if inappropriately used.

Can money buy happiness? Various people have various answers.
Some people think that money is the source of happiness. With money, one can buy whatever he enjoys. With money, one can do whatever he likes. So, in their minds, money can bring comfort, security, and so on. Money, as they think, is the source of happiness.
But there are still a lot of others who think that money is the root of all evil. It is man's desire for more and more money that drives them to do anything, whether it's good or bad. Many people die for money, lie for money, fight for money, and even sell their souls to the Devil for money.
From my point of view, money is essential to life and maybe it can bring happiness to you, however, happiness is far more than that. It is a kind of human feeling. Physical health and mental well-being are both essential to life satisfaction. Love is fundamental to a person's life satisfaction, too. Self-esteem, I believe, is another crucial factor that produces happiness. All those can't be measured by money and or bought by money. Therefore, we can never reckon only on money to achieve happiness. Money is a blessing when it is used rightly; it's a curse when abused.
