单选题 What can be inferred about the woman?
【正确答案】 A
【答案解析】[听力原文]
Project on Digestion

Student A: Hi, Ira.
Student B: Hello, Michael. I guess it is time to get started on our digestion project. It is due on Wednesday at 4 in the afternoon.
Student A: Yes, I hope to get into med school next year, so it is important I learn lots about the digestive system. I really hope we get a good mark on this project as I am trying to keep my first class average. As you know, it is really competitive to get into medical school.
Student B: I will help you as much as I can but I am taking this course only because I have to. I actually hate all sciences but my program requires me to take one course in science and I have heard this biology course is quite easy.
Student A: I don"t know how easy it is. My sister took this course from the same instructor last year and she said Dr. Seinfeld is a very hard marker. There are also severe penalties for handing in projects late—so we only have 5 days left to do this. We should have started sooner.
Student B: How long do you think it will take us?
Student A: Well, once we get organized and determine which sections each of us will do, then we will each probably have to do about four or five hours of research. After that, we should meet again and consolidate the material that we researched.
Student B: Okay, I have time to research tonight, but I also have a French exam I need to study for on Tuesday night, so I would prefer if we finished this project by Monday.
Student A: Okay, I have to do that French exam, too.
Student B: All I know about the term digestion is that, strictly speaking, it means the breakdown of the food by enzymatic action.
Student A: Yes, there are both physical and chemical processes that reduce food to small soluble molecules. Only small molecules can cross cell membranes and be absorbed.
Student B: Do you want to research the chemical processes, Michael? I could research the physical processes.
Student A: That is a good idea, Ira. I"m most interested in the chemical process. Lots of people think since we eat meat for protein and rice and bread for carbohydrates that these substances nourish our bodies. It is the amino acids from the protein, the sugars from the carbohydrate and fatty acids that actually enter the blood and are transported to the body to nourish our cells.
Student B: Well, I know that digestion starts in the mouth—that we have 32 teeth, but I will have to do more research on the physical aspects of digestion. I have never really studied how the food passes through the body.
Student A: Shall we meet on Sunday afternoon?
Student B: Okay. Where do you think I can get books on this? Do you know any good sources?
Student A: Perhaps, we should log on to the internet right now—we should both use different sources. Then we could go to the library before it doses.
Student B: It doses at 8, doesn"t it?
Student A: No, tonight it stays open until 10. It"s only weekends that it doses at eight.

[解析] 这个女士说她虽然对科学不感兴趣但是必须修一门科学类科目,因此选了这门听说很容易的生物学课(I have heard this biology course is quite easy)。
