Childhood’s End

Nowadays, many parents send their children to study piano, mathematics, art and many other subjects. In their opinion, the current society is full of competition and they should cultivate their kids to become elites, otherwise, they will be eliminated. That’s why the children today don’t have childhood any more. What they do have is countless homework and training classes.

Is this phenomenon normal? As far as I am concerned, excess is never good. Study is not the whole life of children. They still have friends, entertainment and hobbies. Every child only has one childhood. Once it has gone, it is gone for good. Compared to study, children should first have a healthy body and a sound mind. Therefore, I strongly advise those parents who push their kids so hard to give them a break. It’s good to make your children excellent, but do not grab their childhood.

To sum up, children are the hope of our country, and they deserve a happy childhood. I really hope that parents can leave more time for their kids to manage themselves. Thus, they can possess their unique childhood.
