单选题 One fine Sunday afternoon we went for a walk along the river bank. We passed several families who were having picnics in the shade of the trees. George stared at them with great interest.
"What a good idea!" he said, "I wish we had brought some food with us. I"m hungry!"
"I know a little place where we can get some tea further up the river. “I said.
After we had been walking for nearly an hour, George saw a man fishing in the river bank. "I wonder if he"s caught anything," George said. "He might be willing to sell us some nice fresh fish."
"Let"s ask him." I suggested.
We greeted the man and asked him if he had had a good day"s fishing. The man looked up at us and smiled.
"It"s been a very bad day," the man said. "The fish have eaten nearly all my bait. I don"t like feeding fish. It should be the other way round."
"Did you catch anything?" George asked eagerly.
"I caught six fish some time ago." The man answered.
"May I see them?" George asked.
"I threw them back into the river, "the man said." They were too small. I want to catch a really big one!"
