Should Square Dancing Be Banned in Public

It's quite a common phenomenon to see the square dancing in public which has been constantly gaining its popularity over the past years. There are both critics and proponents. In my opinion, square public dancing is good, but it should try to avoid bring negative effect to the society.

First, square dancing does good to improving the public's health especially the health of the middle-aged and elder people. It also offers people opportunities to communicate and interact so that they are getting easier to make more new friends with neighbors or strangers. People have to face great stress in their daily work in modern society and they need such public activities to get themselves relaxed. Second, public square dancing represents a kind of vigor as well as people's love for life. It will not be appropriate for the government to ban such activities. As long as their dancing will not cause negative effect to the society, such as being too noisy for residents to sleep, it Is good to keep. Third, square dancing in public is an example to make full use of the square which usually takes up a large space. It's not only a beneficial but also an economical way to do exercises.

In conclusion, square dancing should be performed at appropriate time and space which will make no negative effects to the residents as well as the society. Serving only as a new mode of entertainment, it will enhance people's health as well as enrich people's life， and it should not be banned.
