【正确答案】
B
【答案解析】[听力原文] 23-30 Woman: The Salvesen name has been trading for 150 years, what does this mean to you? Man: Naturally I am enormously proud that the company founded by my great grandfather is now the seventh largest company headquartered in Scotland employing over 14,000 people in some 16 countries around the world. Equally I marvel at how such an international business has evolved from Turnbull & Salvesen's ships' agency company originally founded in Leith in 1846. Woman: You joined the company in 1969 and have been a Non-Executive Director on the Group Board since 1989. What are the most important qualities that you and your fellow Non-Executives bring to the table? Man: One of the roles is to provide an impartial view on the multi-operational and strategic facets of the Group. This is particularly important now that we have the separate roles of Group and Management Boards. Our breadth of experience is derived from time spent in a wide range of industries and enables us to contribute positively to the plans developed by the executive management for the future growth of the company.
