According to Gardner, intelligence does not exist in one single form like IQ. It is not static either. In other words, people‘s intelligences can exist in many different forms and can develop and be developed over a life time. For example verbal/linguistic intelligence refers to the ability to use words effectively, both orally and in writing. Sample skills are remembering information, convincing others to help, and talking about language itself. Musical intelligence sensitivity refers to rhythm, pitch, and melody. Sample skills are recognizing simple songs and being able to vary speed, tempo, and rhythm in simple melodies.
