【正确答案】My Ideal Job
Different people choose different jobs according to their interests and ability. Some want to be scientists, while others choose to be doctors. As for me, my ideal job is to be a teacher.
I'd like to be a teacher because I like the pace of the academic calendar. Summer and winter vacations offer an opportunity for relaxation, research and writing. I'd like to be a teacher because teaching is a profession built on change. When the material is the same, I change — and, more importantly, nay students change. I'd like to be a teacher because I like to ask questions that students must struggle to answer. The world is full of right answers to bad questions. While teaching, I sometimes find good questions. So teaching gives me pace, variety, challenge, and the opportunity to keep on learning.
However, the most important reason why I want to teach is that my students will grow up and change in front of me. Some will become university students with academic success and find good jobs; others will become interested in the urban poor and served as civil rights lawyers. What's more1 teaching offers something beyond money and power: it offers love, not only the love of learning and of books and ideas, but also the love that a teacher feels from his or her students.
During the following years. I will try my best to prepare for my ideal job and hope that I will become an excellent teacher in the future.
