What do You Think of Advanced Artificial Intelligence?

Recently, the news that Alpha Go, Google’s DeepMind program, had beaten the world champions of the game Go between man and artificial intelligence has drawn much attention and thus aroused people’s concern over the artificial intelligence. Though it is definitely a great progress on technology, there are still some controversies.

 Some people hold the idea that the AI is programmed to do something devastating. Autonomous artificial intelligence systems can easily cause mass casualties in the hands of the wrong person. Moreover, with the rapid development of science and technology, artificial intelligence will exhibit human emotions like love or hate and even rule over human beings. They fear that the human-level artificial intelligence will be achieved in the near future and exterminate humans like animals without any mercy.

As far as I am concerned, the benefits of AI outweigh its disadvantages. There are so many advantages of the artificial intelligence that it is hard to imagine how life will be without it. First of all, it is likely to make our life easier and more convenient. And we are supposed to perform better and more efficient in the workplace equipped with devices of the artificial intelligence. Furthermore, there is no need to worry about the replacement of AI for humans. The artificial intelligence can only be as smart as human but not more talented, intelligent and creative than human, its maker.

In conclusion, advanced artificial intelligence facilitates our life in many ways. What we should do is further explore its functions and make our life more colorful, but not to fear the danger which may never come .
