How to build beautiful China has sparkled heated discussion among the whole society as general secretary Hu Jintao emphasized the importance of ecological progress in his report to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) . China have maintained a huge momentum in economic development in the past 30 years, so many people support the idea that economic development should be given the top priority and we can solve environment problems after China becomes more developed. However, many people opine that we should put more emphasis on ecological progress as environment is indispensable for our sustainable development. The second view sounds more reasonable, but how can we build beautiful China?
If we want to solve environment problems, we have to start from foundation. First, massively propagandizing is necessary. We can enhance people' s consciousness with propagandizing the importance of building beautiful China. If everyone in China pays their efforts, the outcome will be astonishing. Secondly, governments at different levels should take more measures, such as closing some factories that generated too much industrial exhaust, and calling on more people to plant more trees. Developing more technologies and products to absorb smog so that the air quality can be better and the weather can be more agreeable. In addition, the government should change laws to severely punish those who destroy the environment intentionally. Besides measures that governments can take we citizens should collaborate with governments.
It is urgent to take measures to reduce environment pollution and improve ecological progress. Only by the above-mentioned practical measures can we enjoy better health and live in a more comfortable environment.
