Subject: Donations for people in flooded areas
We appeal to all the students and the faculty of this university to make contributions to the people in the flooded areas of southern China. Many people there are homeless because of this unprecedented flood and they are in urgent need of food, clean water, tents and medical assistance, etc. Your money, large or small, will certainly contribute to the relief of their difficulties and so we call forth all the students and the teachers to offer what they can do to help them.
Several collection boxes will be set up on the campus to accept donations from 8: 00 a. m. to 5 : 00 p. m. Saturday and Sunday. All the collections will be handed to the Red Cross of this city the next day.
