It is universally acknowledged that technology makes our life easier than before: such as online shopping, e-studying and playing online games with distant strangers. The Internet is the biggest progress we have made in technology, and with which an expanding virtual world is changing our lifestyle rapidly. The way of communication with people has changed dramatically. Computers, smartphones and other smart devices are the portals to this virtual world. In the modern society, most people cannot live without that kind of equipment. They use them to communicate with their friends, family, and even business. The virtual world communication has changed the way that people communicate. Yet, when it comes to the impact of high-tech on daily life especially interaction, views may vary from person to person.

 On the one hand, some people hold the view that living in the virtual world can enable us to enjoy the leisure time without having any burden in the real world. A shy person in real life tends to be active in the virtual world. On the other hand, the rest hold the other side of this picture. The ability of communication is a significant skill which should be cultivated if we want to survive and succeed in the world. Accordingly, considering the pros and cons of this argument, I take the attitude that high-tech such as Internet game tends to be a double-edged sword. What we must do is “to absorb the essence and neglect the drawbacks” of high-tech. Only in this way can we obtain more dimensional knowledge and diverse skills. We have to admit that it is a trend that people spend more and more time in the virtual world, but we also need to be aware that through communication in the real world, mutual understanding can be promoted and fostered between people, which cannot be replaced by the virtual communication.
