Character Determines Fate

Different people generally have different characters. Some are brave while others are timid; some are firm and persistent while others are weak and frail; some are optimistic whereas others are pessimistic; some are men of action while others always indulge themselves with imagination.

It is said that one's character can determine his fate. There is much sense in this comment, as one's character influences all aspects of his life. Those who are brave tend to get more opportunities in life while timid ones may just miss them when they come. Those who are firm and persistent can often be expected to succeed in what they set out to do while those who are weak and frail are not likely to accomplish a lot in their careers. Optimistic people usually live happily and enjoy themselves while pessimistic ones always feel depressed and complain about their experiences.

It is obvious that one's character can, in a sense, decide what decisions he will make on various occasions, and those decisions may have the influence on what occupation he will take up and what experiences he will have. In other words, one's character may determine his fate.
