【正确答案】

At the present time, getting a well-paid job requires not only an excellent academic background, but also a plenty of relevant experiences. But which one is more important? Different group of people hold different opinions, from my perspective, both are crucial in getting a good job.

Some people argue that outstanding performance in examinations is more important. Indeed, if one did well in examinations, this represents that he has a comprehensive knowledge reserve. In some works such as scientific researches or programming, a good understanding in expertise is indispensable. For example, a programmer with enough expertise is very popular and well-paid, because all he needs to do is to use his knowledge.

Opponents, however, hold the opinion that rich experiences in social activities are more helpful in finding a good job. Having many working experiences in some certain fields can make yourself more competitive in interviews. Also, this will help you handle problems easily and adapt to the working surrounding as soon as possible. Jobs like salesman、 driver require many relevant experiences than other jobs, for example, a salesman with a plenty of experiences, although he hasn’t been educated well, he can act professionally and can easily catch customers’ needs.

In my opinion, expertise is as important as experiences for job seekers. If we have enough knowledge but lack working experiences, we may find it hard to get used to the surrounding of working spots, as well as getting along well with our coworkers because we don’t know how to balance works and personal lives. This is an obvious shortcoming of having few previous experiences. But when we are good at participating in social activities but lack specialized knowledge, we might not be able to do something extremely basic, which is unacceptable in any type of work.

To sum up, having enough expertise or experiences can benefit some certain area, but most jobs require both. And it is also worth to mention that being good at both can make ourselves very comfortable when we are working: we don’t need to be worried about our positions being grabbed by someone else, also we can adapt to the work easily and build up a good relationship with boss and coworkers.
