As one of the most important examinations in China, National College Entrance Examinations (NCEE) has been conducted in China for forty years to help the college recruit the best applicants.

NCEE is the best way available to ensure that everyone have equal opportunity to be admitted. The exam actually prevents the corruption and back door admission to some extent. Besides, NCEE has historically contributed to help the colleges recruit the best applicants.

However, more and more people in China begin to doubt its effectiveness these years because they think that NCEE should be responsible for the current test-oriented education in Chinese high school and the little achievement of the college students there.

In my opinion, NCEE should not be cancelled in China now. The best way to settle the problem is to innovate the system step by step while keeping the dominant position of NCEE.
