【正确答案】After examining the table that illustrates the number of people who have access to different forms of home technology in 5 different countries in 2003, it can be seen from the table that South Korea is more technologically advanced in most aspects compared to the other 4 countries.
Obviously, technology such as telecommunications is more accessible in developed countries. South Korea has the highest use of mobile phones with 96 in 100 people owning one. This is followed by Germany, where 67% of citizens use them. Yet, Monaco, which is also a developed country, compares more closely with the developing countries like Thailand and Ukraine, at 38%, 43% and 33%, respectively. The use of home phones is not always in proportion to mobiles. All countries, apart from South Korea, have greater access to a home phone, especially Monaco, in which 99 in 100 people have access to one. A similar pattern is demonstrated with audio-visual equipment. In each country there is a higher percentage of televisions than DVD players. South Korea again has the highest number of televisions, boasting 87 sets per 100 people, and Ukraine the fewest with only 38%.
Although technology exists in every country, developed countries especially South Korea, embrace it much more easily.
