From my point of view, interpersonal skills are of great importance to our future development, no matter we are very capable or just of mediocre talent. A person having good interpersonal skills knows what is the most important thing in any relationship— respect; he knows that when people around him are in trouble he has the responsibility to walk out and offer help; what's more, he never looks down upon people when they are low but he tries his best to encourage them to face trouble bravely. As a result, he earns a lot of genuine friends who treat him in the same way he treats others ,i.e, when he lapses into great difficulty, there is often someone supporting him strongly, which helps to decrease the obstacles and guarantees his better future development. There is a true story that best illustrates this opinion. A young woman has recently retired and when she is thinking that life is impossible to continue, she comes across a middle school classmate. Her classmate, to her surprise, has now become a successful businessman and he gives her a flower shop as a present, which enables her to work again and support her family. When asked why he does this, the businessman says it is out of his gratitude towards the woman. When they were in middle school, the man, at that time a very poor and squalid boy, with snot all day, was looked down upon by his classmates except the girl, who always played with him and helped him with his study. Being thankful, the boy was finding opportunities last several years to repay the girl and at last his dream came true. Obviously, due to her excellent interpersonal skills, the girl also gain a new start of life. Realizing the important role interpersonal skills play in pushing our future development, we should apply them into our daily interpersonal practices as often as possible. Only in this way can we hope to achieve better results in our future development.
