Some people uphold the usage of courseware because they believe that students can teach themselves English by producing and introducing various kinds of English courseware. It is true that teachers are confronting the challenges of English courseware by which students can teach themselves English, but students still need their teachers' advice. Furthermore, it is essential to English learner to have a surrounding of language communication. My opinion is that we shouldn't stress too much the role of courseware in English teaching and learning and even abandon our traditional teaching methods. Contrary to it, we should combine courseware with traditional English teaching methods to promote the English teaching reform in China.
