There was nobody else in the street except two youths. They were standing in a dark shop doorway. One of them was very tall with fair hair, the other was short and fat with a beard and moustache.
The youths waited for a few moments, and then ran quickly and quietly towards Mrs. Turner. The tall youth held her from behind while the other youth tried to snatch her handbag.
Suddenly, Mrs. Turner threw the tall youth over her shoulder. He crashed into the other youth and they both landed on the ground. Without speaking, Mrs. Turner struck both of them on the head with her handbag, and walked away calmly.
The two astonished youths were sitting on the ground when Mrs. Turner crossed the street towards a door with a lighted sign above it. Mrs. Turner paused, turned round, smiled at the youths and walked into the South West London Judo Club.

W: What are you going to order?
M: I'd like a salad and a cup of coffee.
W: Oh, just a salad and a cup of coffee. Is that all you want? Why not try some other food?
M: Yes, to tell you the truth: I'm going on a diet, my doctor told me that I should lose some weight because I'm too heavy and that's not healthy.
W: How do you feel now?
M: I feel fine. In fact, I've never felt better. And what's more, some of my old clothes would fit me if I lost about 50 pounds.
W: How long will that take you?
M: Well, I've just started my diet, so it may take me six months to get down to my proper weight.
W: Do you plan to eat nothing but salads for six months?
M: Surely not. I'll be able to eat fruits and certain meat and dairy products, but most important, I should never eat anything between meals and I should not eat anything containing sugar.
W: Then you probably won't want to try the delicious hamburger they serve here. I happen to know that the head cook is an excellent hamburger chef.
M: Now that you mention it, I may have two or three of these delicious hot rolls. I usually have five or six.
