| Self-employed | Working for someone else | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Nowadays more and more students choose to be self-employed after graduation. As far as I am concerned, I prefer to be self-employed. I can lead a more free-style life. I can do things on my own will. Moreover, I can decide how to do things; whereas those who are employed by others must do things according to the instructions of their employers. I can allocate my time freely. Hence, if I am tired, I can rest in the daytime; if I am more energetic, I can work late at night, I have more freedom on the choice of work time than those who work for others. Self-employment makes me depend on myself. I have to push myself to learn more and to work harder. I am the master of myself. | Being an employee, I have to be subject to discipline, and do things under the instructions of my boss, but that's just part of life. I would rather work for someone else than be self-employed. I just want to lead a simple and regular life. When you work for yourself, you have to earn more money to end up with the same take-home paycheck you'd get as a company employee. That's much pressure for me. In addition, besides work, I can still have free time to do the things I enjoy doing, and don't need to think about the work all the time. I don't like a complicated life. I haven't much ambition either in my life or in my career. I dream of living an easy life, a regular lift with discipline, without much risk. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
