Generally, there are two main reasons leading to the producers' prevalent use of commercials on TV. With the rapid development of economy, many manufacturers have realized the important role of advertisement in that they can stimulate sales and win the market. In our competitive society, consumers usually have the choice of several brands of the same product. Therefore, manufacturers are confronted with such a problem: how to make their products known to customers. They solve it by advertising on TV, which provides people with information about their new products and in return absorbs a lot of money by selling much more. What's more, most consumers are interested in advertisements because they wish to get from TV ads the first-hand information about new products, which enables them to make a decision quickly and to choose the one that they like best.
As far as I am concerned, I am in favor of TV ads because some of them are interesting and informative. However, I think the manufacturers should not only pay attention to their products' advertisement, but attach more importance to the improvement of their products' quality and performance, thus establishing themselves in an unassailable position in the market.
