1. Last Saturday, we were on the way home from the school outing when some of the junior students wanted some water after fifteen minutes’ walk. Several steps further, there happened to be a stall selling drinks. Therefore, they asked the teacher’s permission and went on to buy some drinks and the rest of us stopped to take a rest. In a minute or two, we heard people shouting and found that the sound came from the stall so we came to the stall to figure out what happened.
2. When we got there, one of our students were still arguing with the owner of the stall. The teacher asked both sides to stop arguing and then the stall holder said that the student refused to pay for the drinks he had ordered and he was justified to claim the payment. However, the student complained to the teacher that he was ready to pay for the orange juice when he noticed that there were many rotten oranges in a box behind the stall, thus he doubted the food safety. Then he questioned the stall owner whether he used those oranges to make juice. And the stall holder defended himself by arguing that the rotten oranges the student had seen were ready to be dumped and the juice was mode of the good ones. However, the student would not trust him.
3. In order to settle the dispute, the teacher decided to call the number of the Food Regulation Office. Twenty minutes later, several regulators arrived and began to take notes. Then they examined the oranges together with other fruit used for making juice while taking some pictures. What’s more, they picked up some pieces of fruit as samples for test. After the test, the regulators released that the oranges used for making juice were not those rotten ones. In other words, the stall holder had told the truth. Finally, the student apologized for what he had done to the stall holder and offered him the payment.
