Marion{{/B}} Marion White is due to retire next week from well-known local law firm Barney & Francis,{{U}} (29) {{/U}}... offices are located across the south-west of England. After{{U}} (30) {{/U}}... her training in Bath, Mrs White joined the firm, where she has spent more{{U}} (31) {{/U}}... 20 years. Barney & Francis immediately recognised her enormous potential and she was promoted{{U}} (32) {{/U}}... times. She became the only female out of five partners in 1987. Shortly after{{U}} (33) {{/U}}.... in 1989, she became Senior Partner.{{U}} (34) {{/U}}... asked about her plans for the future, Mrs White replied,{{U}} (35) {{/U}}... I've been thinking of visiting my brother in the United States, I haven't actually decided{{U}} (36) {{/U}}.... But really, I'm keen{{U}} (37) {{/U}}... buy a house in Bath and settle down there. Michael Slater, a colleague at Barney & Francis, is going to replace Mrs White.{{U}} (36) {{/U}}... Mrs White, Mr Slater has worked for Barney & Francis{{U}} (39) {{/U}}... the early 1980s. A retirement party will{{U}} (40) {{/U}}... held for Mrs White at the Belmont Hotel on 20 March. |
