Shared Bikes in Campus

Since the introduction of shared bikes into China this new market has been booming dramatically. Bike-share giants like Ofo and Mobike have been striving to promote their products everywhere; university is not an exception. While on some campuses this increased popular method of transportation has been embraced with enthusiasm, a considerable number of universities have issued regulations to ban this bicycle-sharing system. For my part I propose that universities should accept this ever-improving technology and support its growth.

Initially, shared bikes can be recognized as an incentive for college students to innovate and create their own business. Secondly, bicycles with varied color can provide an aesthetically appeal on campus. Ultimately, this system can enhance students’ mobility, considering the fact that in some universities walking distance from dormitories to libraries or teaching buildings is very far.

Consequently, considering the factors above, bike sharing on campus is conducive for the development of universities. Furthermore, they are particularly cheap as users only need to pay for hourly fees. Therefore, all colleges should deploy bike-share programs for the convenience of their students and the development of themselves.
