单选题Attn: All residential owners
The general misconception is that a building permit is required only if
you are building a new home or undertaking a major construction, like the
addition of another story to your home. However, building permits are equally
critical for domestic remodeling. Home-improvement projects that require
alterations to an existing structure may also require a permit. Any person
applying for a permit to construct a facility or renovate a house must submit
the following to the municipal office at least two weeks before the proposed
start of construction: 1. Completed application form.
2. Erosion control plan (if the project will result in disturbing the
ground due to use of mechanical equipment). 3. Four copies each
of the site, architectural, and structural plans of the areas affected by such
work. 4. Please indicate your proposed building schedule and
the name of your building contractor. Construction work begun
before a permit is granted will be subjected to stoppage and outright demolition
at cost to the owner. After your application is approved, your building
contractor will be issued a permit, which must be posted at the work site
throughout the period of construction. Inspector Lyle
