Consequently, it is asserted that teaching traditional culture in the college should be indispensible for one reason or another.
To start with, college students are too much occupied with the study of basic knowledge before enrollment to dabble in traditional culture extensively. Everyone is clear that young people represent the future of our nation and the hope for prosperity and development of our country. The unique culture is the source of a prosperous and powerful nation, so making students well up in traditional culture is really necessary in order to make our nation much more powerful.
Furthermore, college life is a critical period for students to form their outlook on life and life attitude. Teaching traditional culture can help them get prepared to be a qualified citizen. Consequently, a strong national spirit and a good national quality can be formed accordingly. Nowadays even some western nations such as Britain and Australia tend to have interest in Chinese history and culture and they have already realized the value of traditional Chinese culture and offer the courses like "Three-character Scripture" in primary school. So we have no excuse to object to teaching traditional culture in the college,
Finally, we can witness the trend that Chinese students, especially college students greatly pursue western culture, and it can be reflected from their wearing NIKE or REEBOX, listening to U2 on walkman and so on. But where is our traditional culture? Should it be exhibited in museum and covered by dust in library? No. Of course not, and it can't be just speeches on TV given by several professors occasionally. It should come into our daily life and be integrated in our soul.
