Now, a number of people are calling for a ban on raising dogs in cities. Dogs excrete wherever they find it convenient, which pollutes the public places, in addition, dogs may bite people, especially children.
An equally large number of people object to this suggestion. They argue that it's completely wrong to ban the raising of dogs in cities. In their opinion, dogs are good companions of human beings. They provide good company for the old, helping the old get over the loneliness.
As far as I am concerned, l don't think it's a good idea to ban people from raising dogs. It's unfair to drive dogs out of our life simply because they make some troubles. It's certain that dogs' waste, barking, and attacks on people are annoying, but it's not the dogs' fault. The owners should be more careful when they walk the dogs. The point here is not to ban dogs from cities, but to educate the dog owners so that they can be aware of how to make dogs become our true friends.
