【答案解析】A Letter to the Editor of a Press
June 19, 2013
Dear Editor,
I venture to write to you to complain about the poor service of a bookstore. I am a senior from Beijing Normal University. Last week I bought a Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English in a bookstore nearby our campus. Not only the quality of the book but also the attitude of the salesgirl was unsatisfying.
There are two pages in poor print in the dictionary, which I found later because the plastic cover can"t be opened before the money is paid. Even worse, when I asked to change another one, the salesgirl was very impolite. She told me that they wouldn"t change it for me since I had opened the pack. What made me angrier was that she said that I had to accept the bad luck and she couldn"t help me.
Though the incident I am complaining about is not a serious one, it does reflect the poor service quality in the bookstore. I hope you can appeal to the bookstores to improve their work as soon as possible.
Thank you for your time and kind consideration.
Sincerely yours,
Liu Mei
