   If I had to choose between those three options, I would select cleaning a park as my community service. I would choose to do that for two specific reasons.
   The first one is that I enjoy going to parks, so I would like to have a clean park to visit. There is a nice park in my neighborhood. It has a big field, a pond, some walking paths, and tennis courts. However, it is not nearly as popular as it could be because it is not particularly clean. My city does not have enough money to pay for full-time custodians to take care of the park, and many local residents, especially teenagers, litter in the park. This results in the park looking run down and dirty. The facilities need to be improved, and the garbage on the ground needs to be picked up and thrown away. I would love to join a group of students dedicated to keeping the park clean. We could beautify the park and make it popular with people.
   There is a second reason I would choose to clean a park. A park is a place where local residents can spend their time engaging in leisure activities. People can walk, play sports, exercise, have picnics, and just spend time with their families at parks. I go to my local park with my friends and family and enjoy doing various activities there. So if I helped clean the park, I would not only be doing something that could benefit myself, but I would also be doing something that could benefit a large number of people. Through my small actions of cleaning up trash, many people's lives could improve. I think that would be an efficient use of my time.
   If I did some community service, cleaning a park would be my choice. I could improve the park so that I could use its facilities and other people could utilize its facilities.

   First of all, I love my city very much, so it would bring me a great deal of pleasure to beautify it by planting flowers and trees in it. I have lived in my hometown my entire life and have strong feelings toward it. I want other people—both residents and visitors—to like my hometown as well, and that could happen if some students were to start planting flowers and trees in the area. We could plant different kinds of flowers depending upon the season, and we could plant trees to line some of the streets in the city. That would make my hometown look much better than it currently does.
   Another thing to consider is that flowers and trees can have positive effects on the environment, so we should plant as many of them as possible. Flowers and trees can help prevent soil erosion. They do this by anchoring soil to the ground with their roots, so they would be able to prevent valuable topsoil from being blown away by the wind or washed away by water. In addition, many flowers and plants can help purify the air by removing pollutants from it. The more plants there are in an area, the cleaner the air is. In other words, I could enable the people in my city to breathe cleaner air, which would make them healthier and reduce their chances of getting certain respiratory diseases.
   The best choice for me would be to plant flowers and other plants in my city. I could make my city look nicer, and I could also improve the environment in my city. Thus my actions would provide benefits for both residents and visitors in my city.
