Science is the Impetus of the Society
As is known to all, society benefits from the work of all its members, but every individual has the respective task. Someone tends to be artist, someone is the scientist. Here is a debate among them, which one contributes more to the society?
To begin with, both of them make valuable contributions to our society.Sometime, it seems that artists are more valued because they can make more money through their hard working. What‘s more, some people deem the philosophy as the origin of all science subjects. They believe no one can make progress in the science without the emerging of philosophy.
But others disagree. The contributions scientists make to society are more obvious. We regard the science and technology as the top priority in our society. Meanwhile, China emphasizes the use of technology and science. Yuan Longping, the scientist who invents the hybrid rice solves the problems of starving in China. That‘s the reason why he is selected as the person who moves China in 2004. In addition, the science also helps China to stand out in the world again especially in the aviation area.
From my perspective, the scientist contributes more to the society. After all, we all know science is the primary productive force in today‘s world. Maybe artist is also an important contributor to our society, but without technology and science, we can‘t have such a happy life! All in all, where there is science and technology, there is progress. We may need art, but please respect the science and technology.
