迪庆藏族自治州位于滇西北，云南、西藏、四川三省交界处，迪庆，藏语意为吉祥如意的地方，以藏族为主体的8 个兄弟民族世代生息繁衍在这片广袤的土地上。这儿就是传说中美丽的香格里拉。
这里不仅民族风情浓郁，同时还是一片具有生命灵气的宝地，草原广阔，山环水绕。梅里雪山主峰卡格博 (Kagebo Peak)，吃立于迪庆西北，海拔6740米，是迪庆的最高点，也是云南第一峰，终年雪冠冰氅，云缠雾罩。长江巨龙用身体在这片土地上切出了一条世界最深的峡谷一一虎跳峡；那暴跳的激流没有一丝绿色，唯有生命的呼吸在沉重的隆隆声中诉说着什么。

The snow-capped and mist-veiled Kagebo Peak, the dominant peak of the Meili Jokul, standing in the northwest of Diqing with an altitude of 6,740 meters is the highest point in Diqing and in Ynnan Province as well. The giant dragon of the Yangtze river uses his body to cut out one of the world's deepest canyons —Tiger-Jumping Gorge. There is not a hint of green in the raging torrent, only the breath of life telling in the heavy rumble.
