Do you think that environmental problems are the most important questions facing the world today, or are there other things which are more important?
Candidate A : In my point of view, it"s imperative for us to reconsider the magnitude of environmental protection. It"s especially true at this critical juncture of human development.
Candidate B : I can"t agree more. Human beings and their environment are becoming increasingly intertwined and interdependent nowadays.
Candidate A : Through recent decades, we have already taken heavy toll on our earth, such problems as air pollution, water contamination, deforestation and ozone layer depletion. These are omnipresent and even becoming life-threatening.
Candidate B : If prompt actions were not taken, our life would be constantly plagued by the deteriorating environment. In one way or another, environmental problem is none second to the most urgent to be dealt with.
Candidate A : Without the environment fit for human habitation, it goes without saying that we can not maintain our life. Without pleasant environment, it goes without saying that we can not sustain our development.
Candidate B : If that should be true, humans would be doomed to extinction, which just could bring to life the nightmarish scene filmed in Hollywood blockbusters.
