(1) In audiolingual method， the teacher's role is central and active. It is a teacher-dominated method. The teacher models the target language, controls the direction and pace of learning, and monitors and corrects the learners' performance. The teacher must keep the learner attractive by varying drills and tasks and choosing relevant situations to practice structures.

(2) In the CLT, the teacher has two main roles. The first role is to facilitate the communication process between all participants in the classroom, and integrate activities and texts.
