Glocalization has become an unavoidable trend all over the world. Glocalization affects many aspects of people"s life, but it is also affected by culture and business of the local country. Glocalization is a new word to describe this situation. When new products or service from foreign countries can"t be easily accepted by local people, the company will make them localized to meet their satisfaction. Glocalization on business is a common phenomenon. Competition between MacDonald and KFC in China is one of the good examples of glocalization. Both MacDonald and KFC are giants with many fast food chain stores in China. However, the earning of MacDonald is not as good as that of KFC in China. The main reason causing this phenomenon is that KFC changed their original menu to cater to Chinese people, who do not adjust to this new kind of food from western countries. For the local people, they have great differences from their traditional food. Facing this problem, KFC decided to add some food which majority people in China like, such as rice, fried meals, and egg soup, etc. Such traditional foods in China are very popular. As a result, this strategy helps KFC beat MacDonald successfully. Success of Haier in Pakistan is also a good example of glocalization. According to the particular fondness of rocket in Pakistan, Haier decided to promote their products by setting their own logo in the competition field of national rocket game in Pakistan. Making a good use of this opportunity, Haier successfully gave a deep impression to the local customers and opened their market in the local area. Glocalization is a combination of " globalization" and " localization". As globalization can"t be stopped, neither can glocalization. To compete with other big companies in the local district, international companies have to make themselves localized.
