【正确答案】How People Spend Their Holidays?
It is clearly shown in the table that there was a great change in the way people spent their holidays from 1990 to 2010. In 1990, 37% of people spent their holidays by travelling, while the figure increased dramatically to 86% in 2010.
There are a lot of reasons for this phenomenon. Firstly, with the development of economy, people earn much more than before, so they can afford traveling expenses. Secondly, in modern times, people come to realize the importance of knowing about the outside world to develop their potential. By travelling, people can experience different cultures and broaden their horizons. Finally, people are getting closer and closer to nature, which is beneficial to both their body and mind.
In my view, I prefer to go traveling instead of staying at home during holidays. The world is becoming a global village. We are not willing to confine ourselves within small circle of families or relatives. In brief, I have benefited a lot from traveling during the holidays.
