Follow-up questions:
(1)Is a general training program important for new staff?
(2)Do you think employees shouldn’t break the company rules under any circumstances?
A: Hi! Our company is planning to introduce a general training program for the new staff. You know that?
B: Really.?
A: Yeah. If you were to decide, what topics do you think the training program should cover?
B: I think the training program should include introduction of the company structure.
A: That is necessary. The company runs on the basis of coordination, with each department having its unique function. If the new staff know the company as a whole, they could cooperate with others efficiently
B: That’s right. I also think it is necessary to teach the new staff how to use the hi-tech modern equipments.
A: Right. The hi-tech modern equipments are complex, so the staff need to know about basic maintenance skills to handle common minor breakdowns.
B: Exactly. Apart from that, the training program should include health and safety knowledge, since healthy and safe staff is the precondition of high productivity. It can save tremendous healthcare and insurance cost for our company at the same time.
A: I agree with you on that.
