【正确答案】C1: This picture describes the family get-together in the Spring Festival. In this picture we see all the family members sitting around the table to have a big meal at home, the grandmother is preparing some other delicious for the whole family, and all of them are very happy and talkative. They are eating and drinking over the Spring Festival party.
To get a family reunited is the traditions for Chinese people to celebrate the Spring Festival. Everyone of the big families is required to come back home when the New Year comes no matter how far away they live. On the New Years Eve, all the members will eat "jiaozi", a Chinese traditional food, together that is said will bring good luck and fortune to everyone and the family. Since 1983, when the CCTV-1 held the first Spring Festival party, it becomes part of the celebrations. In resent years, the living standard improves a lot, and the income of a family is getting more and more, so some families would like to go out for dinner on New Years Eve. But most Chinese people prefer to have dinner at home and watch TV together. It seems that all our traditions are facing new challenges. Maybe when the children of the next generation grow up, they can only learn about Chinese traditions from books.
C2: Do you prefer to go out to have dinner on the New Years Eve?
C2: My pictures show two popular hobbies: stamp collecting and traveling or climbing mountains. The girl in the picture is looking at the precious stamps she has collected for so many years. There are two stamp albums on the table and there are four stamps she just got from a friend. She is going to put them into her dear album. She has all the necessary tools that a stamp collector should have: a magnifying glass and a pair of tweezers. The boy in the second picture is walking very fast along the road at the top of a big mountain. He is almost running. He carries a bag and a bottle of water at the back. He is enjoying his holiday in the scenic spot, a famous mountain in China.
Collecting stamps and climbing mountains are two different hobbies. The former is a quiet hobby, and when you collect a lot of stamps, especially some precious and interesting stamps, you can learn from the hobby. You'll know history, culture, famous persons and places, precious plants etc. Collecting stamps can also improve our ability to appreciate beauty and it is a kind of investment. Traveling is a very active hobby. We go to beautiful places or mountains or spots of historic interest. That's a good way to broaden our vision. We learn from the other people all the way.
Everyone has hobbies, so do I. I think we should have one or more hobbies because they are good to us. Living in modem times, we are faced with so much pressure, we need to relax ourselves by having hobbies.
C1: What's your hobbies, and why you prefer this?
