| It's wise (聪明的，明智的) to remember how
easily (容易地) this wonderful (极好的，惊人的) technology (工业技术，应用科学) can be misused,
sometimes unintentionally, with serious consequences. Consider the case of the Illinois man who left the snow-filled streets of Chicago for a vocation in Florida. His wife was on a business (生意，职责) trip and was planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick email. Unable (不能的，无能为力的) to find the scrap (小片，废弃) of paper on which he had written her e-mail address (地址，演说), he did his best (最好的) to type it in from memory (记忆，怀念). Unfortunately, he missed one letter, and his note was directed instead to an elderly (上了年纪的) preacher's wife, whose husband had passed away only the day before. When the grieving widow (寡妇) checked her e-mail, she took one look at the monitor (班长，显视器), let out a piercing scream (尖叫), and fell (落下；下降) to the floor in a dead faint (微弱的，晕倒). At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen (屏风，掩蔽): Dearest Wife: Just got checked in. Everything prepared for your arrival (到达，到达者) tomorrow. PS.
